Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain delivery trucks
- Load and unload goods at various locations
- Operate a forklift to load and unload when necessary
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to customers
- Follow assigned routes and schedules
- Verify delivery instructions and maintain accurate delivery records
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Inspect and report any issues or damage to the delivery vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations
Requirements
- Valid Class 3 driver’s license, with a clean driving record
- Forklift certification and experience operating a forklift
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a delivery truck driver
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes
- Ability to operate GPS and other navigation tools
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 100 pounds)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Available to work Monday to Friday 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with the possibility of some overtime as needed
Preferred Requirements
- Working knowledge of both French and English languages
Local Deliveries in Montreal
- Deliver orders to customers (small boxes and skids)
- Pick up merchandise from suppliers
- Transfer merchandise between company locations
Additional Responsibilities
- Load and unload delivery trucks (Big box truck and Econoline van)
- Inspect delivery vehicles and ensure the safety and security of the loading and unloading process
- Establish and maintain outstanding relations with customers and suppliers
- Contact customers to confirm delivery details
- Determine placement of merchandise, follow safety and lifting protocols during deliveries, and conduct safety reviews
